PRODUCT FEATURE

MCP and agent tooling with governed permissions

Connect development agents and MCP-compatible tools through attributable identities, scoped resources and approval-aware workflow operations.

Agent tools act within assigned authority: Agent identity; Scoped context; Authorized tool action; Human review and audit.

Velocize makes machine interaction part of the governed product. An agent using MCP or another supported execution surface works through identifiable tools and permissions. The model can change while the enterprise retains its record identities, roles and consequential decision authority.

01

Bind tools to actor and resource scope

The connection and actor context identify the tenant and authorized participant. Tool exposure and execution follow the governed access boundary. Reading project context, proposing work and performing a write are distinct operations.

An AI actor cannot use a new interface as a route around product permissions. The action remains attributable to its identity and effective role, with required human approval preserved for consequential work.

02

Carry workflow context into agent work

A developer agent can work with authorized requirements, issues and knowledge as inputs to its assigned activity. Resulting proposals retain their relation to the work and source context. The interface does not make generated content an approved product record.

When the action exceeds its scope, the agent needs the permitted escalation or human continuation. Tool output remains evidence to assess rather than a source of new authority over the agent.

03

Keep model choice independent of enterprise authority

The role, execution surface, provider and exact model are separately recorded concepts. MCP is an interaction protocol; it is not itself the model provider or the owner of the workflow.

This separation supports model substitution and local AI while retaining the same work, evidence and approval relationships. Tool and resource exposure follows the authenticated product context and effective authorization boundary.

04

Application scenario and operating value

A developer asks an agent to implement a requirement and update the associated delivery record. Give the connection its authenticated tenant and actor context, then expose the tools needed for that bounded activity. Access to a tool catalog does not itself authorize every resource or operation.

The enterprise gains machine assistance with attributable action and stable authority. Developer tools can change while the role, work, evidence and decision remain connected. That is a controlled integration of agents into the process rather than ownership of the process by the agent.

  • Authenticate connection and actor context.
  • Expose only task-relevant tools and records.
  • Keep retrieved content separate from authority.
